With a compassionate approach and evidence-based methods, I’m here to help you navigate life’s challenges, rediscover balance, and build stronger relationships with yourself and others.

I’m Chamara Thomas, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping people build healthier relationships—with others and with themselves. My passion lies in guiding couples through communication challenges, emotional disconnection, and the daily stressors that can weigh a relationship down. Whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or navigating the complexities of a blended family, I provide a safe, judgment-free space to unpack what’s not working and rediscover what is.
My journey into this work wasn’t linear, but it was purposeful. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University and later pursued my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University, along with a certificate in Contemporary Theory in Couple and Family Systems. That academic foundation, paired with real-world experience, shaped my commitment to making therapy more accessible, affirming, and effective—especially for individuals and couples from historically marginalized communities.
Though couples work is my heart, it’s not my limit. I’ve supported teens navigating eating disorders, adults healing from domestic violence, and individuals looking to reclaim their voice and power. My therapeutic style is direct, collaborative, culturally attuned, and rooted in strength-based and experiential models—with the flexibility to pull from a range of proven methods.
At the core, my mission is simple: to help people heal, grow, and thrive in relationships that feel secure, supportive, and real—no matter their background or walk of life.
Let’s do the work—TOGETHER.

I recognize the importance of identity, lived experience, and cultural context in healing. Therapy here honors who you are — not just what you're going through.
I work together, not from a place of hierarchy or judgment. Your voice, your pace, and your goals lead the process, while I help guide and support.
Whether you're working individually or as a couple, I explore how relationships shape communication and emotional patterns — so you can create healthier connections.
Therapy isn’t just reflective — it’s actionable. You’ll leave sessions with tools and strategies you can use beyond the therapy room.
